Meet Sherrika R. Hunt

Ms. Sherrika R. Hunt has been a State Farm insurance representative/ office manager with over twenty years experience in auto home and life. In 2019 she started her own PR Company, A Diamond In a Rough Management LLC., where she provides marketing and management services to entrepreneurs while assisting with promotions of life events and concerts.

Sherrika is a major community leader, motivational speaker, public figure, and advocate for Sickle Cell Anemia and The Alzheimer’s Association. She brings awareness to the cause by, public speaking, walking for the cause, donating, raising funds, and her annual event, Ride 4 Alzheimer’s. Her community work and dedication, resulted in her receiving a proclamation from Mayor Sylvester Turner and Sheila Jackson Lee, as well as receiving several leadership awards for business, community service, and her mentorship for youth in business management and

marketing. She became the Vice President of For His Glory Christian Alliance, where they raise scholarships for college students each year, and is also a member of the NAACP and, The Promote Her Chapter of Exclusive Business Sorority, where they offer a national network of sisterly support in the business industry. With all the responsibility she has, she still finds time to manage the Mike-N-Ike Dance Ministry for over five years.

Her latest achievement is the writing of an amazing inspirational book titled, “Smiling Through My Tears.” It bases her story on actual experiences dealing with the afterlife. Through her pain of loss, she found meaning and has adopted the motto: “Together we are stronger, let's educate, and help each other heal, by sharing our story with others.”

Author Sherrika Hunt is the director and host of her new tv/radio show The Authors Lounge Show, where she provides an intimate platform for authors of all genres to share the stories behind their books with the purpose to inspire, motivate and encourage the viewers as well as other authors. This show gives other entrepreneurs and companies the opportunity to play a part in growing their business through advertisements and sponsorships. Her channel PromoteHer has eight streaming platforms, three hundred million viewers, seventy-two million of those being household. She also helped to launch a radio station called, Go Be Great, which is an inspirational source of uplifting music and motivational stories told by some of the world’s most influential people.

Sherrika is presently taking her career to the next level and continuing her education to become a certified licensed grief counselor at the Wisdom Coaching University, where she shows her passion by helping others through their journey of grief.
